Beauty of Proverbs

Proverbs are wise sayings and stand on the high moral plane and therefore, are drawn out of life’s long experience and presented in a form that is easy to remember. It is a life application guide for any earnest pupil, old and young wishing to be instructed in Gods way.

The first step for the discerning young man must begin at 1:7 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom…”

Proverbs are instructional for the school of wisdom Jesus that must be sought. So that one can live wisely and enjoy life to the fullest. The shunning of the wisdom’s way is the path of destruction and sorrow– the way of the fools.

Outline

Proverbs 1-9 describes the school of wisdom vs the school of Folly. It is foundational, preparatory ground for the discerning pupil who is getting ready for the classroom lectures. Proverbs 10-24 instructed by Prof. Solomon himself – Because the wisest man known to live on earth before our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Proverbs 25-29 compiled from archive lecture tapes of Prof. Solomon by the scribes of king Hezekiah. Proverbs 30 lectured by guest faculty Prof. Agur after Prof Solomon’s time. The final Proverbs 31 authored by the mother as homework notes to King Lemuel.
